Light emitter is not out of my knowledge, i say : "light and sunlight". I'm use to call it is "sunlight". In your pic, you use this SFX in night time of warcraft and darken terrain, but in morning time and white terrain it'll be too much light and became a blur ugly fire, not red fire anymore. I calculate to use this SFX with best quality in all environment!
Actually, you know why i'm use a shadow textures under this explosion???
I give a wise option, too much light and white textures just ruin your explosion, all we need here is some thing dark to rise the contrast of the model ! With too much light and sunlight, all you can see isn't the red fire, just white and yellow color !
